Responsible for assuring products and processes meet internal and external regulatory body requirements through implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Team member interacts with many different functional departments and experts outside of Zimmer Biomet to implement these goals. Team member is responsible for establishing timelines, managing multiple projects at a given time and effectively training and communicating CAPA requirements.Principal Duties and Responsibilities-Develops procedures and processes to ensure effective CAPA system. -Develops and implements corrective and / or preventive actions. -Collects and analyzes data to determine root cause and ensures quality is always met. - Provides Corrective Action and Preventive Action(CAPA) Process coaching and guidance from CAPA initiation through containment/correction, investigation and root cause analysis, implementation, and verification of effectiveness phases. - Assists with risk analysis of issue considering severity and frequency determined from data from different Quality Systems. -Participate / lead Kaizen and root cause analysis sessionsExpected Areas of Competence-Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships outside of the department as well as outside the company (suppliers, regulatory agencies, etc.). -Ability to deliver, meet deadlines and have results orientation. -Able to communicate both orally and in written form to multiple levels of the company. -Demonstrates characteristics of high potential for future development opportunities. -Microsoft Office Suite -Basic knowledge of DMAIC process -Lean six sigma training preferredEducation/Experience RequirementsB.S. in engineering or an alternative Bachelors degree program with certification as a quality engineer (e.g. CQE).
