Aerotek Technical Services Chemical Technician in Valparaiso, Indiana

Job Description:

Responsible for pulling water samples from manufacturing.

Prepare samples in vials and set up chemical equipment to analyze.

Test samples for pH levels.

Analyze results and make chemical recommendations to plant personnel to increase production efficiencies.

Document all work and service provided including evaluation of plant personnel test results, chemical applications, chemical and test reagent levels, and deficiencies/ corrective actions as required.

Maintain testing equipment (pump and generators) and help with transferring equipment to other sites as needed.

Follow company and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in the sciences or STEM field.

Must be mechanically inclined, comfortable troubleshooting, using hand and power tools as needed.

Ability to communicate effectively and professional with customers and represent the company well.

Comfortable working in an industrial environment.
