Country Lane, Shipshewana, IN 46565-8568 About GP – Shipshewana: Shipshewana providers Dr. Pechin and Dr. Keaffaber have been in practice together for over 30 years. The patient base is 38% elderly and 20% Amish. Most of the colleagues have been with them for over 15 years or more. We provide many services to our patients which include, EGD, Colonoscopies, x-ray, Dexa Scans, lab testing. Shipshewana was one of the first practices to provide Medical Home care. We have a health coach and she focuses on patient education and does AWV as well as helps with the colonoscopies. Shipshewana also has a triage nurse for the practice as both of our providers do have nursing home patients and that creates a lot of phone calls. Very busy practice, we do not see OB patients. Experience is a must to work in this environment.
Performs technical examinations independently using ionization radiation. Operates x-ray equipment; prepares imaging room with equipment and supplies. Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Assists and explains procedures to the patient. Assists physicians in providing patient care services in an efficient, customer service-oriented manner in the medical office environment. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with patients and their families, physicians and hospital associates. The person in this position demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide service appropriate to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Associates degree in radiological sciences or certificate from an AMA approved school.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
Valid Indiana State License to operate radiograph producing equipment.
- 2 years prior experience as a Radiology Technician. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding.
- CPR certification.
