The Manager of Clinical Practice is responsible for providing leadership for the management of ambulatory clinical practice.The Manager of Clinical Practice works with all members of the care team to establish a view of the patients served and works with other members of the care team to assure patient safety, satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The Manager of Clinical Practice has accountability for the care provided by the caregivers within the ambulatory practices. Must possess the maturity, ability, and flexibility to deal effectively with constantly changing situations encountered in the complex health care environment. Has the ability to manage change and empower others to influence clinical practice and processes within ambulatory setting and across the continuum of care.
Directs, supervises, and coordinates all clinical functions and activities of the ambulatory service lines and clinical practices including: practice standards and operational policies and procedures, in accordance with standards established by institutional, governmental and other regulatory bodies.
Contributes to the development of Reid Health/RHPA’s mission, goals, policies and procedures, budget, work standards in coordination with the developmental, clinical and administrative leadership and the direction of the Vice President.
Provides direct supervision for the Clinical Practice Leads (CPLs) and the RHPA float pool.
Ensures the development and delivery of required staff training is using a competency-based assessment program. Evaluate and develop staff based on job-specific competencies. Evaluates how staff resources are allocated to support business activities and revenue cycle initiatives.
Coordinates with directors and management on monitoring clinical activities to ensure cost-effective, high-quality health care for patients consistent with the mission and resources of the health system.
Education Required: Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Education Preferred: Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience Required: at least five (5) years clinical experience. Must be capable of critical thinking and making in making independent decisions; self-directed and requiring minimal supervision. Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills and very effective interpersonal relationship skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to ensure consistent, clear, and concise communications.
Experience Preferred: Ambulatory practice experience
Licensure: Registered Nurse in Indiana and Ohio
