Reid Health LPN-RHPA in Richmond, Indiana

This position primarily assists with Worker’s Compensation patient care and coordination of referrals for injured workers, as well as Employee Health record maintenance for Reid Health employees.

  • Assist with rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and providing injury care

  • Assist with the authorization process for Worker’s Comp referrals

  • Conduct education and training programs and activities designed to promote and improve safety of Reid employees

  • Understand and know the needs of the Worker’s Comp insurance carriers

  • Process paper work between the employer and carrier for Worker’s Comp injuries

  • Update and correct processing problems

  • Actively partner with patients in understanding treatment pathway and ensuring compliance

  • Provide member information to Worker’s Comp carriers

  • Enhance Reid employee safety through partnering with departments such as: Rehab, Occ. Med, Ortho, Wellness, etc.

  • Introduce new ideas, tools and methods to improve safety

  • Ensure timely response and follow-up by all parties

  • Maintain Reid Employee Health records

  • Register patients in Epic

  • Enter charges in Epic

  • Perform general office tasks

  • Order supplies using Lawson

  • Schedule office visits within the department Microsoft Office calendar

  • Assist with Reid health screenings and corporate health fairs

  • Assist with vaccine administration

  • Assist with employee respirator fit testing

  • Assist with employee illness and exposure tracking

Experience Required: Licensed Practical Nurse with active licensure in the state of Indiana. Preferred active licensure in the state of Ohio. If not currently licensed in Ohio, will obtain at the start of employment. The applicant, needs to be detail-oriented, a good listener, and have excellent follow-up skills.

Experienced Required: working knowledge of clinical care provided to individuals with work related injuries including musculoskeletal injuries.

An understanding of the worker's compensation / ADA/FMLA legislature preferred.

Certfication Required: BLS required.

Day shift. 40 hours weekly. 7:30a-4:00p.
