Ensure product integrity is preserved through proactive involvement in operations, data gathering and analysis, and by documentation review. Supervise, manage and develop Quality Supervisors, Quality Personnel, and other personnel as assigned. Conduct audits and reviews of production facility assuring company standards are maintained. Work with other departments to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. Identify and help to implement improvements. Function as an information source to various departments to continuously improve operations. Lead third party and customer audits and manage continuous improvement action lists and plans. Support projects as assigned by Regional Director of Quality.Responsibilities:Overall responsible for Quality: Oversee all aspects of the quality department on a plant level and subsequently be accountable for all success and failure in the quality departmentDevelopment and review of daily quality checks and job specificationsQuality summaries for management and customersOversee Hold and Recall SystemsEnsure systems are in place for Incoming Material Inspection and for Finished Goods ReleasesOversee Sourcing of Quality Supplies, materials and servicesResponsible for Continuous ImprovementReview plant floor data to generate improvements and interface with customers to generate improvementsInterface with vendors to manage quality issuesManagement of audit review and corrective actionsManage master action list and reviews with Leadership TeamEnsure systems for continuous improvement are in place and functionalData summarization and analysisManage customer complaints working with Customer ServiceImprove operations via coordination with Operations and EngineeringIdentify improvements based on quality of product producedWork with production and engineering to improve product qualityGenerate improvements to job specificationsOversee HACCP/HARPC Plan Development and ReviewEnsure HACCP/HARPC plans are reviewedSupport QA Admin Manager to manage HACCP teamSupport SOP ManagementEnsure SOP reviews are doneEnsure SOP training is taking placeGenerate improvements to SOPsAudit ManagementSQF Practitioner and External Audit ManagementManage unannounced internal GMP room auditsManage Food Defense Security Audits and Mock infiltrationsManage Self Improvement AuditEnsure SIP Audit team is trainedAssess effectiveness of SIP system and generate improvementsCustomer Relationships: Build and maintain customer relationships.Responsible to communicate with the customers quality department in regard to specifications, finished goods, quality incidents, and customer complaintsReceive, review, and communicate customer specifications to QA, QC, and other personnel deemed needed to know the informationPersonnel ManagementManage, lead, and train Quality Assurance Associates (QA) and Quality Control Technicians (QC)Ensure performance reviews are completedDevelop skills and provide necessary training for all tasksProvide improvement feedback to employeesManage personnel as requiredLead the development, implementation and/or management of the Quality Management System, at all respective facilities.Other duties as assignedMust be HACCP CertifiedBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:Manufacturing: 5 years (Required)ISO 9001: 5 years (Required)OTC: 3 years (Required)SQF: 3 years (Required)Food Production: 3 years (Required)
