This is a rolewell suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in theircareer. As a Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for :

  • Planning and overseeing the daily operations of the ShippingDepartment to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. This includes managing group of threesupervisors, organizing and overseeing the schedules and work of assignedstaff over a three-shift operation, maintaining regular performancediscussions with employees, and handling discipline and termination ofemployees as needed in accordance with Company policy.

  • Measuring productivity throughanalysis of performance and financial data and activity reports

  • Working and collaborating with otherdepartments, such as Human Resources, Finance, Shipping, Facilities,Quality and EHS to ensure successful operations

  • Preparing and managing a budget forthe department

  • Experience with regulatedindustries, ISO 13485 or similar, or food grade distribution.

  • Experience with WM and ERP; SAP experience beneficial

  • Experience managing both direct andcontract workforce in a competitive labor environment

  • Experience in Life Sciences industryor related field, temperature-controlled warehouse environment preferred

Required forthe success of this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in BusinessManagement, Business Administration, or related field

  • Three – five years experience in managerlevel in fast-moving small parcel pick operations

  • Knowledge and experience with labormanagement, engineered labor standards and managing to performancestandards

  • Excellent leadership and managementskills

  • Able to support a 3-shift operation

  • Able to interpret financial data asneeded

  • Excellent organizational skills andattention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills as well as presentation skills

  • Able to be a role model of Siemens Healthineers7 Principles and our People and Leadership Practices

  • Able to create a positive,motivational work environment

  • Able to work, collaborate with, andappreciate a diverse group of individuals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suiteknowledge
