SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of an electrician is to evaluate, repair, and replace materials, products, and components for conformance to specifications by performing the duties listed below.


Performs all work in safe, efficient manner and follows all safety procedures including ArcFlash safety guidelines. Participates in continuing training process. Maintains work area in neat and orderly condition. Detects, reports and repairs faulty operation, defective material and equipment and other unusual conditions to teammates and appropriate personnel. Collaborates with appropriate personnel to transmit and exchange information pertinent to work related activities. Responsible for operation of machines and equipment in compliance with Standard Operating Procedure. Responsible for communicating quality and machine problems to supervisor, team members and maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment resulting in operational downtime ensuring the essential care, maintenance and operation of the equipment. Repairs requiring > 60 minutes and/or external resources must be reported to your supervisor (or designee). Records essential data onto Preventative Maintenance work orders and Down Day work orders to ensure proper collection of data for maintenance and operation staff. Verify the information, specifications and location of electrical parts and or instrumentation and other parts before installation to ensure that appropriate parts are installed and perform in exact specification as replaced parts.


Reads instructions, manuals, and written procedural instructions. Safely and professionally utilize; hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, electrical instrumentation, and forklift. Install, troubleshoot, terminate, inspect, and repair conduit, wire, AC controls and AC motors. Install, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair D.C. drive systems. Navigate and write ladder logic. Familiar with HMI equipment, Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC-505s and CLX processors. Installs, troubleshoots, inspects, and repairs pneumatic, digital, analog, hydraulic and electronic instrumentation. Works with applicable predictive technologies to improve operations. Maintains plant electrical and instrumentation systems in a manner that ensures the highest productive capability of the plant. Maintains tools and test equipment to maintain plant electrical systems. Assists with maintaining accurate records to include but not limited to: storeroom, calibration, and electrical drawings. Assists supervision in the design of new equipment as well as replacement equipment to enhance the performance of plant electrical systems. Complete Preventative Maintenance and Down Day work orders with precision, ensuring that all components are verified for proper operation prior to startup. Works in conjunction with Operations to ensure that all equipment has been tested and operates in a safe manner and with satisfying results. Works scheduled shifts and overtime as assigned. Completes Daily Paperwork to be turned in at the end of each shift, properly documenting all observed details (includes maintaining electrical log). Performs other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent

5+ years of electrical experience or currently enrolled in an educational or vocational program with a focus on Industrial Electrical Technology or Electrical Technology with completion of the program in less than 6 months
