Serving three primary markets passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.Position Overview: The Account Manager is responsible for selling, promoting, pricing and business development efforts, Regionally/Nationally. They are responsible for achieving our global goals and objectives by identifying and communicating customers needs and requirements.Essential Duties:Actively seeks new business opportunities to identify and develop new business to expand sales and market penetration in their market segmentCoordinate global strategies, targets, metrics and tracking to ensure growthMeets with customers and prospects in their assigned territory to identify customer needs and requirements, maintain, develop and grow relationships, develop proposals and present Danas capabilities.Initiate inquiries, prepares quote and proposals, negotiate prices and close deals.Proficient in the utilization of Dana best practice sales, pricing and negotiation processes, and procedures.Utilizes Dana systems and procedures for inquiries, proposals and CRMMaintain customer records, sales forecasts and publish call reports in the CRMPerform account management with customers and prospects in their assigned market segmentMonitor and report customer and competitor activity and changes in market conditions in their assigned market segmentMonitor and drive daily and monthly forecasts and sales for Dana AORMeet and exceed the financial/sales goals for their market segmentAccount responsibility will include customers in their market segmentManage various projects and assignments, short and long termKnowledge and Skills Summary:Highly self-motivated and results oriented individualForecasting, projecting future business. Understanding Off-Highway OEM reactions to market variablesSelling, negotiations and closing skills and ability to influence decision making at all levels or an organizationProfessional verbal and written communications skills to be able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situationsAbility to effectively interact at all levels of the customers and Dana organizationsAbility to juggle and meet various technical, sales, Program Management and forecasting deadlinesExperience in mobile equipment, construction machinery, hydraulic fluid power and power transmission markets or related experience with similar technical productsDirect related experience in gears and gear boxes a plusFamiliar with Microsoft Office productsEducation and Experience:Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing or equivalent in experience.
