This position will fulfill the goals and objectives of the HR Business Partner operating model and organization by providing consistent HR services across Kimball International. This is a fast-paced, exciting position where the understanding of the organizational structure, culture, process, and procedures is critical. The HR Generalist has strong HR Systems knowledge and change management experience. The HR Generalist operates in a matrix environment where critical thinking, emotional and social intelligence, organizational, and customer service skills are key. This position seeks to add valuable impact and support decision making. Reporting and responsibilities will flow through the supervising HR Manager. Focus on business partnering and decision supportEnsure business has the talent needed to meet business objectives (interview/selection/on-boarding)Provide constant employee engagement/communicationExecute organizational development programs -- succession planning/career planningEnable learning and development executionFacilitate performance management process and submit records to HR Transaction and Svc Ctr for proper documentation and recordkeepingManage employee separation process working with the HR Transaction and Service Ctr for proper documentation and recordkeepingLeverages the available self-service toolsAssists employees in the proper way to complete HR transactions -- concierge to other HR service teams, reminder of self-service tools, etc.Ensure employee data is accurate -- periodically review as quality check to the HR Transaction and Svc CtrExecute KII employee relations programs as the face of HRServes as leader of Wellness activities teamsFollow all safety guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and other site specific policiesFollow and Support the Quality SystemSupport our Environmental Management System (EMS)Job Requirements:Business specific knowledge to improve employee environment and leadership effectivenessBusiness partnering skills-focus on providing solutions and ideas to meet business needs over HR administrative tasks and program developmentAligned to the business and accountable to support the plansFlexible work schedule and willing to travel when needed to help other locations or for mtgs1-2 yrs. min experience with HR function, 3-5 years of HR experience preferrediBi-lingual English/Spanish desiredVISA Sponsorship:Kimball International, Inc. will not sponsor applicants for this position for employment/work visa status (e.g..
