- The Treasury Analyst is part of Corporate Finance function of the AES Global Treasury organization. Corporate Finance is responsible to manage growth funding and maintain optimal capital structure; administration and covenant compliance of parent credit agreements, manage credit enhancement and counterparty risk, rating agencies and bank relationship management, long term cash forecasting and capital structure planning. The position will help manage counterparty risk, debt compliance and credit enhancement function. This position reports to the Senior Manager Corporate and Project Finance, and could potentially be located in Arlington, VA or Indianapolis, IN
Help develop and maintain a set of procedures as per global counterparty risk management policy for credit limit thresholds for each counterparty for businesses in US, Europe and Asia.
Perform counterparty credit analysis on counterparties as per established methodology.
Manage credit administration and credit exposure reporting – includes, but not limited to, reporting total exposure for all counterparties globally and ongoing credit monitoring of external counterparties.
Help define the amount and type of credit enhancement that may be required for counterparties that are below acceptable credit risk level without any credit enhancement.
Help review and approve all forms of credit enhancement (including letters of credit, guarantees, cash collaterals, liens, etc.)
Manage the tracking and inventorying of all collaterals, letters of credit, parental guarantees provided on behalf of businesses or received from counterparties.
Support debt compliance at parent level.
Help develop and manage debt compliance online tool to ensure compliance at business level
Support boarder Corporate Finance function and Treasury organization to achieve its objectives including joint ventures support.
Undergraduate degree in finance or related field, graduate degree is a plus
Minimum of three to five years relevant experience
Strong organizational skills and a high degree of professionalism
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with teams within the Treasury, Legal, Commercial and business operation areas
Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
Ability to pay attention to details
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Business expertise in Microsoft Office - Excel modeling
Must have a diverse skill set to organize and complete multiple tasks against deadlines
