Tetra Tech invites you to consider a rewarding opportunity within our Indianapolis, IN office as a/n Staff Geologist/Engineer.
The Indianapolis, IN office is currently seeking a highly motivated Staff-level environmental professional to support our projects and clients in central Indiana and throughout the Midwest with additional opportunities to support disaster relief projects across the US.
Performance of field tasks including drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sampling, vapor intrusion sampling (soil gas, subslab and indoor air); environmental assessments and site inspections, remediation implementation including both self-performance and oversight of subcontractors.
Performance of office tasks including data processing and management, preparation of sections of technical reports and proposals, management and maintenance of field equipment.
Oversight, direction and mentoring of entry-level staff.
Management of tasks and small projects under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager supporting development as a future project manager.
Applicant must have a minimum of 3-5 years in the consulting field and have a good understanding of groundwater treatment systems and aquifer characteristics. Candidates must be familiar with the operation and maintenance of field and monitoring equipment, including use of a variety of drilling and multi-media sampling techniques. Current HAZWOPER certification is required.
Applicant must have excellent technical abilities, communication and organization skills and good technical writing skills. Familiarity with the MS Office Suite, database development and management, and aquifer analysis software, CAD or GIS is desirable.
Degree Requirements :
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering or a related discipline. Advanced degree is desirable.
