Description Our client, a respected global leader in the Biopharmaceutical space, is seeking a qualified Production Technician to join their expanding team! There are multiple openings available on the 3rd shift. Responsibilities: Supporting manufacturing operations of diabetic testing strips. Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of testing strips. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances. Interfaces with internal customers. Performs semi-routine support of duties of a specialized area nature within an assigned area. Generally assigned more complex and difficult tasks. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required 1+ years of general Manufacturing experience required; 3 years preferred Previous experience performing quality checks for testing strips a plus Must be a quick learner and will be trained on measuring instruments such as micrometers Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours Must have strong computer skills Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices preferred Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment Ability to perform basic math calculations Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures Competency in manufacturing systems such as inventory management or SAP desired Candidate should be adaptable, approachable, friendly, positive in attitude, pleasant to work, and professional in appearance ***For immediate consideration, please email your updated resume to bfreeman@apexlifesciences.com with "Production Technician Indianapolis" in the subject line.
