Aerotek Principle Battery Systems Engineer - 100% Remote Position in Indianapolis, Indiana

Aerotek's client is in need of a Principle Battery Systems Engineer immediately. The Principle Battery Systems Engineer will help drive requirements for batteries in new products.

Due to unprecedented growth and product development, the energy and power requirements on the products have become much more complicated.

Description:

Systems engineer with electromechanical experience that can drive power and energy requirements

This person will work with teams on next generation of batteries. The Systems Engineer will speak with different teams and understand the power requirements of their product. The Systems Engineer will translate the power requirements into requirements needed for the batteries.

  • Gather Power and Energy requirements from tool teams and store in database.

  • Identify system power limitations, identify opportunities, and hold cost/performance tradeoff discussions with teams.

  • Capture worse case power and duty cycle requirements for batteries going forward so we know where to take the technology as battery technology continues to go.

  • Meet with marketing teams and product development teams.

  • Put together “database” of power and energy requirements out of battery.

Other Details:

This position is estimated to last at least 12 months and could go longer, leading to other projects that need support. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position.
