The Design Hub Integrated Delivery (DHID) Manager is responsible for overseeing the Integrated Delivery Design Team and daily operations to produce hub deliverables through capacity/personnel management, staff development, project and business planning/management, and cross-functional communication. You will partner with design and asset teams to ensure alignment with design hub objectives. In this role, you wwill help align hub scenarios with asset team strategies to ensure a smooth transition to execution. You will work closely with the Director, DHID to provide input on design hub strategies and objectives. You will also have responsibility for ensuring efficient execution of expert information for trial design options by aligning with clinical and functional counterparts to incorporate different scenario strategies to gain efficiencies and speed.

As a Manager in DHID, you will recruiting the talent needed within the team. You will have job performance oversight for direct reports, ensuring relevant and high quality training is available, and managing career paths. It is critical that you ensure effective and efficient processes are in place, developing team-specific resources, building and maintaining long-term relationships with key internal and external business partners, supporting and driving organizational change and learning. We seek your expertise in establishing metrics, implementing strategies, anticipating future trends/needs, strengthening current and future capabilities/tools/technologies and developing synergies with partners. As a leader, you will interface with functional areas and is responsible for delivery of clinical design scenarios to reduce complexity, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership over the functional teams and will ensure that there are efficient processes that are well integrated within the DH responsibilities.

  • Ensures teams are effectively providing the functional expertise and value for the clinical trial scenarios presented to the asset teams by the DH.

  • Ensures there is close collaboration with the functional areas as well as with the design teams and asset teams; participate in leadership forums to foster shared learning between the DH, CDO and functional areas.

  • Fosters a culture of organizational partnership and shared learning to identify best practices and standardized approaches to make program and protocol design faster and less resource intensive. This role will ensure teams work closely with one another and with counterparts within the DH to continue to evolve Lilly standards, tools, and best practices across development.

  • Recruits for and staff positions to meet business needs while leveraging diverse global talent, with responsibility for personnel decisions.

  • Creates a culture of respect for people, excellence, and integrity.

  • Ensures staff compliance with Lilly Corporate, Medical, Regulatory and other standards, procedures, and other internal and external business requirements, including training requirements

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical drug/device development process

Basic Qualifications:
