GIS SPECIALIST The GIS Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development of the GIS data conversion solutions of the company. The incumbent will work closely with the Manager of GIS to develop GIS solutions that will meet the Company’s business needs. Essential Responsibilities: Works with the Manager of GIS to develop comprehensive GIS conversion strategies for the company. Installs, configures, and supports a variety of software and hardware systems. Develops and documents processes, policies, procedures, configurations, etc. in a standardized, professional manner. Will be proficient in the use of Safe Software FME for data conversion. Will be proficient in the use of ESRI software and admin experience for AGOL solutions. Will need to create Python scripting for GIS automation applications. Will need to test and process a facility based augmented reality system. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Physical Qualifications: Ability to remain drug free and pass random drug tests. Ability to use office equipment such as phones, computers, copiers, etc. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to learn quickly, be flexible, grow and succeed. Ability to work well with employees from all levels within the organization. Efficient, effective time and project management skills. Ability to work under demanding schedules and stressful conditions. Ability to logically troubleshoot applications end-to-end as necessary. Ability to research technical problems and find appropriate solutions. Working knowledge of, and experience with Windows 10 and Android OS. Working knowledge of, and experience with MS Office tools. Working knowledge of, and experience in Python scripting. Working knowledge of, and experience with Safe Software FME. Working knowledge of augmented reality systems for GIS. Working knowledge of, and experience with AutoDesk, Bentley, ESRI, and Intergraph GIS applications. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in GIS Technology or related field is beneficial. Training certification in Safe Software’s FME is required. Minimum three (3) years of related FME/GIS experience is required.
