Be a trusted business partner for the divisions business owner to help determine and execute the divisions strategic business plan, ensuring proper controls are in place and enact continuous process improvement opportunities.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES*Ability to assist in the development, and lead the management and monitoring of internal controls*Accountable for efficiently and accurately maintaining all general leger entries systems*Management of all Packaging and Branded products division accounting staff*Provide financial analysis and reports to company leadership*Assist Indianapolis accounting department in testing of internal controls*Ability to determine inventory costing*Lead the monthly closing process and report financial results to appropriate company management and Indianapolis accounting department timely and accurately*Assist in monitoring capital projects, and actual expenditures versus budgetPOSITION REQUIREMENTS*BBA in Accountancy*Must be able to travel to our Shreveport, LA and Houston, TX facilities once a monthPOSITION PREFERENCES*CPA or progress working towards completion*Five years or more experience in manufacturing accounting and/or as an auditor with experience in manufacturing*Strong general ledger maintenance experience*Financial analytics and reporting acumen*Experience in detailing with trademarked products or large marketing and advertising campaigns is a plus*High level of proficiency with MS Office and accounting software with Great Plains and/or JD Edwards experience*Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment, while managing multiple projectsNECESSARY ATTRIBUTES*Exemplary oral and written communication skills*Able to speak effectively with all levels of ManagementSalary and benefits commensurate with experience.We are an equal opportunity employer.
