GIS pursues its services with constant emphasis on running reliably, helping people work smarter, making IT easier, securing information fully, and improving user experience. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Enterprise Infrastructure Services and focuses on the following main areas of responsibilities that span across the whole of Eli Lilly and Company:Global Network Services including local area networks (LAN), Wireless (WLAN) connectivity, Wide Area Networks (WAN), Cloud Connection Networks, and Data Center Facilities and Networks.Key Objectives / Deliverables:Operations Management Responsible for the day to day global delivery of local area networks (LAN), Wireless (WLAN) connectivity, Wide Area Networks (WAN), data center and Cloud networking and Data Center Facilities.Service Management Establish and maintain an excellent ecosystem (culture, people, practices, processes, and tools) for service management including the definition, implementation, communication, measurement, and improvement of services within this positions span of controlPeople Management Own the establishment of required capabilities and skills, anticipate future needs, staff to needs, and continuously work to develop people and the organization. Move team towards more agile and DevOps practices that align with the application areas.Vendor Management Determine the sourcing strategies for the area of responsibility; integrate both vertical within GIS and horizontally across IT; establish requirements and SLAs; identify and obtain necessary products and services; lead governance activities to ensure required outcomesIT / Business Account Management Develop and build strong relationship within IT and indirectly across the company to best understand current and future needs; translate those signals into strategies / plans / actions, and deliver outcomes that enable agility, uptake, and time to value; effectively leverage communication channels to keep interested parties well informed of servicesQuality / Compliance / Security Management Build off of the IT QMS to put in place the quality and compliance management practices that enable reliable, trusted services. Deliver Security processes and solutions that align with the overall direction of Information Security.Project / Program Leverage ITs project and program portfolio management practices to ensure projects and programs own by this position are delivered on time, on budget, with expected outcomes. Likewise, ensure that the organization is positioned to support the infrastructure needs associated with projects across the enterprise.Financial Management Meet or exceed financial and headcount targets. Build out unit level volume, cost and value understanding, structures, and reporting to ensure optimized spend and service delivery
