Were looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.The Lilly Professional Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month intensive fixed duration (FDE) professional development program during which the apprentice receives a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring in a key functional area to be equipped to compete for a Lilly position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.Responsibility StatementLillyValue and Access(LVA)Contract Management and Analytics (CMA)is seekingaMedicaidApprenticewithin Contract Administration (CA)who shares our passionformaking life better for people around the world.CMAcreates value forthroughimproving patient affordabilityand accessto medicine,managing relationshipsand contractual activitieswith key channel partners,meeting government reporting requirements, and processing rebateand chargebackpayments.As part ofCA, theMedicaid Rebate Team plays an integral role to ensure timely, accurate, and compliantrebatepayments to State governmentsunder the federal Medicaid Drug Rebate Program.The complex U.S. healthcare environment requires the Medicaid Apprentice to be acritical thinker, stress tolerant, andable tonavigate through ambiguity. The Medicaid Teampartners withexternal Customers such asState employeesandexternalthird-partyorganizations,as well as internalstakeholders such as Legal, Finance, Informationand Digital Solutions, Account Management, andGovernment Pricing.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessquarterlyinvoicesacross multiple Medicaid Programs to various US States, which includesensuring invoice payments areon-time andcompliant with regulations,contracts, andinternalprocedures.Peer reviewrebate paymentdocumentationprior to actual payment.Conduct analysis on incoming invoice and associated supporting documentation. Use judgment to determine what to pay on the invoice and what towithhold,following aformal dispute process.Resolve disputed amountsthrough analysis, coordination with third party, and communication to State.Analyzeutilizationand paymentdata for trends.Buildandstorepaymentdocumentation. Manage workflow of documents by routing for appropriate internal approval.Sendpayment documentation to Customersand execute follow-up steps after payments have been finalized.Support and participate in annual internal and external Sarbanes Oxley Audit.Seek opportunities to innovate payment processes.Engageinother activitiesasneeded(e.g., IT testing, standard operating procedure developmentand maintenance,contractreview and set-up, calculate operational metrics).Basic QualificationsRequirements:HS Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of related or professional experience. Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
