Working as part of the Global Services IT supporting SAP, a functional consultant is responsible for defining, driving and supporting the implementation of the longer term strategic plans; working across various teams and business processes; and assisting the business craft their future using technology and information in new ways.
As a consultant you will be required to work across various areas to have a deep understanding of the existing functionality and business processes supported by existing systems. You will partner with the business to drive simplified future state design which improves the usefulness of the SAP asset. A key requirement of this role will be having the ability to think strategically across both SAP and non-SAP landscapes. The role will seek opportunities to understand the potential of systems within the Global Services portfolio as well as opportunities that exist in the market to best meet the evolving business needs.
This role will focus on our direction and delivery within the procure to pay processing using the MM module, integration with other finance and supply chain modules, as well as other global technical solutions.
Utilize solid grasp of finance and supply chain business processes in order to anticipate short term and future needs.
Work with key business partners and other IT business process consultants to identify business problems and evolve the global solution, using SAP and non-SAP systems, to most effectively meet the business needs.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of how the IT tools are used by the business and how these tools interact, in order to influence the business to think in different ways by providing design direction and alternative options to meet business needs.
Work with business process owners, other functional consultants, as well as the Enterprise Architecture group on cross interpersonal issues. Act as a liaison between IT and business partners on large scale projects.
Work directly with application vendors to understand and influence the vendor’s strategic direction for their product, keeping an outward focus to identify new trends and opportunities.
Responsible for alignment of business architecture direction with other IT areas.
Coach and mentor management, team, and others on business processes, technologies and designs as appropriate.
Strong understanding of broad business processes in the area of Finance or Supply Chain Management; existing knowledge of solutions that support those processes.
Ability to influence others to embrace different concepts or point of view.
Must have validated experience working on global projects delivering to multiple business/sites.
Proven ability to establish key relationships with those outside of existing business area
Proven ability to leads teams, influence others and handle conflict.

Full time day shift position. Occasional off hours and weekend work is expected as this position serves a global organization
Some regional and international travel will be required to meet with business partners and develop key working relationships as part of a global function
Proven ability to understand and influence integration points with other business areas.
Experience working in a regulated industry (i.e. GMP) and delivering within that environment
Desire and ability to operate at multiple levels (detail and strategic)
Excellent communication skills, using a variety of methods in diverse forums
Desire and ability to work independently with minimal direction

5+ years implementing and maintaining SAP
Demonstrated understanding of either Finance and/or Supply Chain Management functionality
