Crop Protection Application Technology R&D Leader
to join our team located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Leading the Application Technology R&D team within Product Science and Technology R&D, including development and execution of organizational, facility and equipment strategies as well as performance management and development of direct reports
Partnering with marketing/commercial, field biology, equipment manufacturers, and industry/academic consultants to understand current and developing regional agricultural practices and incorporate into product and technology developments and future application development technology strategy.
Building and enabling a global lab and field expertise network for product development and testing to ensure application success in each region of launch
Leading, expanding, and developing a strategic pipeline of innovation opportunities to deliver world-class application-based customer and regulatory product advantages, including drift control, tank mix compatibility, etc.
Leading the development of technical communication materials, partnerships and strategies for effective transfer of product technology across the organization and successful product introductions into the market.
Participation in key technical & professional organizations and symposia targeted at creating leadership positions and driving strategy
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?
B.S. in chemistry, chemical engineering, agriculture or related field and 5+ years industrial experience. Alternatively, a Ph.D. and 3+ years industrial experience will be considered. A strong applications and entrepreneurial mindset is critical and previous experience leading people is a plus.
Knowledge of agricultural application practices is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to lead and energize teams and develop scientists.
Demonstrated strength in building and implementing organizational and innovation strategies
Proven leadership in the commercial introduction of new technologies into the marketplace, including ability to build strong relationships with customers and commercial teams.
Demonstrated ability and passion in working collaboratively with global and cross-functional teams, including commercial, technical, operations, marketing and regulatory components.
Track record of new product/technology development and using a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving and opportunity development.
Strong stakeholder management skills, responsiveness and ability to prioritize
Strong business acumen is a requirement
Excellent communication skills
A proven track record of original research contributions, including development of intellectual property and experience in publishing and presenting technical papers in scientific journals and at professional symposia is important.
Experience in regulated markets is a plus
The position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The position will require project related travel of up to 15% of the time.
