Project Engineer

The Project Engineer’s primary function will be to facilitate the day to day construction activities as needed to ensure that project needs and requirements are being met. This will require being proficient in the use of our systems and being able to easily interpret information, making necessary adjustments to projects and communicating project status/updates. The Project Engineer’s responsibilities will include monitoring and measuring project performance goals, reporting results and providing options for resolution to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate project personnel including MKD staff and client representatives

  • Facilitate Pre-Job analysis, project estimates, SOW and budgets

  • Set up document control system, internal database, sequencing work efficiency, determining tools & equipment for project needs

  • Facilitate licensing and permit requirements for projects

  • In conjunction with the Project Managers, responsibilities will include performing monthly financial projections; analyzing labor hours, comp rate, material budgets, and other project expenses.

  • Generate and distribute reports as required as well as manage change orders

  • In conjunction with the project manager, you will be responsible for hosting kickoff meetings with project team, including on-site visits

  • In charge of overseeing database tracking for assigned projects and project document control

  • Program utilization: Accubid (Estimating and Change Order Pro), Spectrum Construction Software

Qualifications

  • AS or BS degree in Construction Management or Industrial Engineering

  • Recent graduate or 1-2 years of related experience

  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and Primavera P6
