The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound exams according to physician orders.

Sterile procedure

Provides correct patient identification, technique, education, instruction, and transportation, as necessary

Serves as preceptor for imaging procedures

Operates all imaging and Doppler/duplex equipment with proper technique

Meets all computer and documentation competencies

Your exceptional qualifications

Experience

Two years Radiology or one year Ultrasound clinical experience preferred. This can be obtained through participation in a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRCDMS) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound training program.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required

License

Must possess licensure either pathway:

Required: Current ARDMS (OB or AB or RVT) certification

OR

Required: Current ARRT (R)(S) or ARRT (R)(VS) registered

OR

Required: Current CCI (RVS)

AND

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified

Required: If hired without a license, ARDMS or ARRT(S) or CCI certification required within 24 months of obtaining position
