Summary/Objective:

Responsible for identifying, maintaining, and improving the company’s inventory by analyzing statistics to determine underlying issues, and process improvement. Allocating inventory to the correct departments as it comes into the warehouse when necessary. Performing extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports, from previous inventory reports to local shipping trends. Drafting inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data. Reporting inventory statistics to management and suggesting improvements to inventory control. Coordinating with other team members to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue. Creating and maintaining inventory data for accurately managing inventory. Responsible for continuous improvement concerning processes and team members and developing future leaders and succession plan. Responsible for promoting and ensuring compliance to company’s Core Values, Mission Statement, plant programs (STP, Wooden Nickels etc).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with PMs, Team Leaders and/or leadership to identify and analyze core business process and workflows. Which will be reporting to management.

  • Identifying, analyzing, and addressing gaps in inventory processes.

  • Perform data analysis to predict potential inventory problems.

  • Analyzing and understanding the current state processes to ensure that the context and implications of change are understood by the Leaders and the project team.

  • Ensures the integrity of company perpetual inventory system and programs.

  • Process Development and Implementation.

  • Assisting in EOM/EOY Inventory.

  • Continuous education for self and department leaders to develop leadership skills and best practices to grow teams, participates in plant meetings as required and leadership coaching sessions.

  • Communicating with Plant Leadership, Team Leaders, and/or Team members with a certain amount of gravitas.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee expected to drive a forklift, at times will be around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Technical experience desired; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software; AX and understand the Mobile Device and scanner.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment. Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes: Coating suit, Coating Boots, Spray Socks, Respirator, Work Gloves, Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical experience desired; or one to three months related experience and/or training.

  • Manufacturing/industry experience.
