Job Opening:i Receiving AssistantApply Online:i https://summitbrands.com/job-posting-receiving-assistant/SUMMARY: The Receiving Assistant is responsible for receiving shipments of stock and inventory, unloading and appropriate placement, and inspecting delivered goods to ensure that all products ordered are actually received.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)Receive and process deliveries of all kinds.Inspect deliveries to ensure they match order and quality criteria.Unload deliveries from trucks.Process returned items per company processes and protocols.Organize and store received items in appropriate areas.Update Inventory with received items.Communicate with vendors regarding delays or problems.Maintains appropriate records of delivery detail.Solve problems within assigned areas through individual and cooperative efforts.Operate computer systems, including inventory programs, production and warehouse transactions, receipts, shipment confirmations, and all idone in a dayi processes.Pick orders and work on assigned project as necessary.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Forklift certification is required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
