Parkview Health Polysomnography Lead in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Performs polysomnography, scores records and performs routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment. Provides excellent, quality and consistent care to all adult and pediatric patient populations. Demonstrates competency in all therapeutic procedures and in the theory and operation of all diagnostic/monitoring devices. Maintains a high level of expertise in the technology required to treat this population of patients and takes an active role in the growth and development of Sleep Disorder Testing. Serves as a leader for coworkers at all times, providing education, sharing knowledge and serves as a resource at all times and charge roles as needed.
Must be a graduate of a Respiratory Care Program or completed the A-STEP program from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Must be credentialed by a national sleep organization, such as the Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnography Technology. Must have current basic CPR certification.
Must have 3 years experience working as a Polysomnographer.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift, handle, push and pull up to 30 pounds.
