Job Summary:

The Parkview Family YMCA has an immediate opening for a Full Time Membership Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, the ideal candidate will have noticeable experience providing excellent customer service and building community relationships including diverse populations. A successful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and servant leader.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and direct quality relationship-based member engagement strategies.

  • Develop, implement, and promote dynamic new programs and expand existing programs to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.

  • Recruit, hire, train and develop part-time staff and volunteers as needed.

  • Foster meaningful connections for the members and guests to the YMCA and serve as a leader for the YMCA in improving member satisfaction.

  • Compile program statistics and participant feedback in order to evaluate the effectiveness of programs offered.

  • Expand and strengthen relationships with community organizations.

  • Develop and monitor department budget to meet fiscal objectives.

  • Participate as an active member of the branch management team.

  • Assist in YMCA fundraising activities, special events, marketing and distribution of program information where applicable.

  • Demonstrate effective listening and compassion toward people in all interactions with the purpose of delivering the mission of the YMCA.


  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver?s license.

  • Two to three years of related experience; preferably within the YMCA.

  • Bachelor?s Degree in a related field is preferred. A combination of equivalent work experience, education and training may be considered.

  • Previous experience building a team and supervising others is preferred.

  • Experience in, or ability to, expertly relate to diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.


  • Starting Salary Range: $35,600-$39,500
