The Role

As the Editorial Consultant, you will draft, edit, and proofread complex assignments/projects for the Retirement Plan Services business line. You will act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. You will also develop and improve efficient and effective written collateral -- including fliers, whitepapers, emails, video scripts, social media, etc, that result in measurable business goals and drive market awareness of Lincoln’s products and/or services for assigned areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and provides more complex performance metrics to track and assess the effectiveness of assigned marketing plans to management and/or appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Builds relationships and partners with internal stakeholders to elicit and capture more complex marketing business goals and ensure all marketing tools, collateral and plans are in alignment with the business goals and objectives

  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Communicates more complex marketing plans and ensures they are understood by all stakeholders and team members.

  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Creates related more complex communications and marketing collateral, in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, that support consistent enterprise core messaging and business goals for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Develops and implements marketing plans, in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, which are driven by assigned area(s) of responsibilitys business goals.

  • Ensures more complex marketing collateral content is accurate, relevant, and consistent in terms of style, quality tone of voice, and which optimizes market awareness of Lincolns products and/or services.

  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

  • Manages marketing projects including but not limited to: project planning, communications planning, managing changes to the project scope, and ensures that the project plan is accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes.

  • Manages the development of more complex marketing materials.

  • Serves as a resource and collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and implement new marketing approaches which enhance and maintain the competitive position of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility in the marketplace.

  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Utilizes resources to ensures more complex marketing collateral is compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and consistent with Lincoln editorial and branding standards.

Education

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required

Experience

  • 3 - 5+ Years experience in marketing that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position

  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
