YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne After School Site Dir - Parkview YMCA in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Job Summary:

The Parkview Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic, organized and compassionate part-time After School Child Care Site Director for the 2020-2021 school year to join our team. Child care site is located at the Parkview YMCA in Fort Wayne Indiana.

Under the direction of the Program Director and through the leadership and service of the site director and their staff, the program provides diverse participants with age-appropriate activities to promote a safe, fun, nurturing learning environment and memorable experiences with the YMCA.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote and incorporate the YMCA core values and mission into all aspects of the job and in the community.

  • Building positive and open relationships with students and parents.

  • Encourage growth in student participation through quality enrichment programming.

  • Adhere to defined safety and educational standards.

  • Maintaining consistent communication with branch management, staff, and parents.

  • Planning for and implementing a set curriculum and schedule.

  • Demonstrating leadership qualities by working with fellow staff, getting input and giving direction.

  • Supervising Site Assistants at your Site, including on-site training and behavior management, and follow up.

Starting pay range: $10.50 to $11 depending on experience

Hours Available:

  • Monday through Friday

  • After School

  • 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

  • Parkview Family YMCA - 10001 Dawsons Creek Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825

Personal Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year of college or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience in supervision preferred.

  • Reliable transportation to attend work.

  • Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a site director for child care services.
