The incumbent will be responsible for building control systems per the specifications and drawings provided by the Project Engineers. Once the systems are built, the incumbent will perform quality checks. The incumbent may also support engineering and service teams on job sites as required.This position works closely with Project Engineers, Project Engineering Managers and other Internal departments.Position Responsibilities:Review engineering design including electrical schematics and spreadsheets prior to starting the projectComplete project under budget and keep project shop supervisor alerted to budget risksAssist less experienced technicians with projects as neededObtain all parts from job shelves to complete projectIdentify and communicate to Shop Supervisor of any parts not available to complete projectMount components in 19-inch racks, Hoffman type enclosures, or custom enclosuresLayout components on back plates per engineering drawingsDrill and tap mounting holes as requiredCut Panduit and Din Rail to fit layoutWire all components per electrical schematics and schedules documented in Excel spreadsheetsMaintain accurate as-built drawings and schedulesIntercom, video, and custom wiring and assemblyPerform quality checks on the completed system and systems completed by other techniciansSupport engineering and/or service team onsite as assignedPerform other duties as assignedRequired ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED2+ years of integrated control systems required2+ years electrical or control panel building experiencePreferred Requirements:Associates Degree preferredExperience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and spreadsheetsExperience operating hand tools and power tools safelyAbility to maintain a clean work environmentAbility to work independentlyAbility to communicate effectively with shop supervisor, technicians, and other personnelAbility to meet deadlines and have strong time management and organizational skillsA valid state drivers license, without restrictions, is required for this positionAbility to lift 60 pounds without restrictionMust be able to travel overnight, up to 25%862637
