A client of ours in Fishers, IN is currently seeking a Backend Developer who is passionate about technological systems, works well with others, and has a firm grasp of design patterns and software engineering. To thrive in this position, you will need to effectively create new platforms and uphold current systems. The Backend Developer will work on a full time/direct hire basis M-F first shift. This is a remote opportunity, with no relocation required, and my client is looking to hire people ASAP.

What you do as the Backend Developer:

• Develop high quality production-ready code in an agile environment

• Supplement solutions which account for scalability and optimize performance

• Improve solutions which account for scalability and optimize performance

• Draft and put into practice back end and front end components and services

• Advocate top programming practices and standards

• Collaborate closely with the product team to build new features and infrastructure

Requirements

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred

• 3+ years software engineering experience in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.JS

• You have been through the planning, launching and refactoring phases of code you wrote

• Experience working with REST or GraphQL APIs

• Foundational knowledge in Redis

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS

• Knowledge of Kubernetes pods

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
