What You Will Do

As an Associate with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to serve as team leader for assigned security officers to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.


  • Participates in the process of monitoring, guiding and evaluating staff performance.

  • Contributes to efficient operations by assisting with coordinating activities, prioritizing workflow and promoting decision-making and problem solving.

  • Performs the duties of a security officer.

  • Models and promotes teamwork and cooperation amongst staff. Reviews staff reports for accuracy, clarity and completeness.

  • Investigates, documents, and manages security incidents and hazards. Addresses escalated or unresolved issues.

  • Assists the Security Manager with shift staffing, organizational planning, budget preparation, staff development, and Committee Chair responsibilities.

  • Operates vehicle in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations. Provides for traffic and parking enforcement within campus area and participates in foot and vehicle patrols.

What You Will Need


  • Required Credential(s):

  • Drivers License credentialed from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

  • Security Professional.

  • Security Guard.

  • Security Guard specializing in Healthcare.


  • Diploma

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required

Work Experience:

  • 1 year of experience required.
