IDS International is looking for a Computer Systems Analyst ? Intermediate to join our team support the Cybertropolis Technology Environment Platform (CTEP). The CTEP provides a one-of-a-kind platform for DoD and Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) partners to conduct training or Research, Development, Testing & Experimentation (RDT&E) in a wide variety of emerging technology areas, but primarily related to cyberspace and cyber-electromagnetic (CEMA) operations. This position may require the employee to travel within the CONUS and to keep a flexible 40 hour week. This role sits at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC) in Butlerville, IN.
Whiles analyzing and resolving problems, have frequent and direct contract with senior system users, senior analysts (both within and outside of the organization), contractors, and vendors.
Manage system administration support for mid?tier server (WINDOWS/UNIX), desktop, and laptop computer systems.
Analyze computer systems when problems occur, evaluate alternatives, and determine the best procedure to follow to restore operational status.
Review system logs and confer with users, other analysts, and contractors.
Independently restore data files, reload, or update software, and coordinate directly with Contractor hardware maintenance engineers in leading problem resolution efforts.
Ensure communication links between mid?tier and desktop computers are operational by monitoring performance and resetting/reprogramming associated bridges, terminal servers, and gateways as needed.
Constant monitoring of the network to ensure the security of equipment and the closed loop network.
Perform backups, manage the chronological routines, and maintain the required system security software on the mid?tier systems.
Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
Participates in architecture and software development activities.
Tier 2 engineering and administration support for customer events, as required.
Working in ambiguous environment and collaborating across multiple areas.
Experience with containers and container orchestration services, automation, provisioning, and imaging, with products such as Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Chef, FOG Projects, etc.
Experience in the configuration and operation of cyber range or computer test-bed environments.
Window enterprise and Linux server / operating systems engineering, and administration experience.
Experience working with a wide variety of technology including but not limited to: Cellular systems, camera systems, Industrial Control Systems, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, building management systems, and radio frequency (RF) communications devices.
Meet IAT Level 2 requirements of DoD 8570.1M by holding one of the following:
Bachelor?s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in network operations
Hold or be able to acquire an interim TOP SECRET clearance within 30 days of hire.
Maintain active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
Cellular and Industrial Control Systems engineering and administration experience.
Operational experience in Cyberspace Operations and/or Information Warfare.
Exercise design, test and evaluation, modeling, and simulations, as well as research and development familiarity.
