Childrens Bureau Parenting Time Specialist - Home Based Services - Region 11 (Part Time) in Anderson, Indiana

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Parenting Time Specialist is responsible for providing supervision, direction and documentation of visitation. Some interaction with DCS Case Managers and the courts.Family Progress - Monitoring and Coaching (70 %)Responsible for completing all required documentation and meeting documentation deadlinesSupervise visits between children and their parents in our visitation offices or communityAssist in scheduling of visitsAttend all required meetingsIt is understood that each employee follows and adheres to the professional standards as outlined by your perspective professional degree, license or agency policyPerform any other duties as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisorCommunicate with various institutions related to youth/family mattersProvide transportation to youth/families as neededAttend court with clients and render recommendationsService Plans / Goal Development (15 %)Create visitation goals for each familyReview and update goals when neededWork collaboratively with other social welfare agenciesReporting (15 %)Maintain case and agency paperwork according to standardsPrepare written reports for the Department of Child Services / Probation office within identified timeframesJOB REQUIREMENTSHigh Schooldiploma or GED required OR A non-human service related Bachelor's degreeand 2 years of social service experience OR Bachelor's degree in socialwork, psychology, sociology, or a directly related human service field.Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have a valid driver's license and auto insuranceClear, effective communications skillsKnowledge of and adherence to current confidentiality practicesAppreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differencesEqual Employment Opportunity:Children's Bureau is an Equal Opportunity Employer
